Yves Klein: With the Void, Full Powers

One of the most influential artists of the last century, Yves Klein (French, born in Nice in 1928 and died in Paris in 1962) stormed the European art scene in a prolific career that lasted only 1954 at 1962. Yves Klein: With the Void, Full Powers is the first major retrospective of the artist's work in the United States for nearly 30 years.

The exhibition is co-organized by the Hirshhorn and the Walker Art Center of Minneapolis. It is co-organized by Hirshhorn Deputy Director and Chief Curator Kerry Brougher and Philippe Vergne, Director of the Dia Art Foundation. Yves Klein: With the Void, Full Powers is co-organized by the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC and the Walker Art Center of Minneapolis, MN.
