One of the most influential artists of the last century, Yves Klein (French, born in Nice in 1928 and died in Paris in 1962) stormed the European art scene in a prolific career that lasted only 1954 at 1962. Yves Klein: With the Void, Full Powers is the first major retrospective of the artist's work in the United States for nearly 30 years.
The exhibition is co-organized by the Hirshhorn and the Walker Art Center of Minneapolis. It is co-organized by Hirshhorn Deputy Director and Chief Curator Kerry Brougher and Philippe Vergne, Director of the Dia Art Foundation.
