It is now admitted and spread that in many African societies very simple objects made of a heterogeneous accumulation of materials, plants, minerals and others, have a double meaning. Their appearance, their forms and their beauty are admired by all. Since the beginning of the twentieth century, in the West, artists and collectors have found the expression of a new visual language and aesthetics that have inspired both Cubists and Surrealists.
