Vibration in ZERO

MONA - Museum of Old and New Art, Hobart, Tasmania

The Museum of Old and New Art (Mona) presents Vibration † in † ZERO¨ †, an exhibition designed by Tijs Visser, founder of the ZERO Foundation. The exhibition is the first to present in Australia core members of the international ZERO art movement. It will run from June 9, 2018 to April 22, 2019.

The exhibition explores the sensation of vibration: as a physical phenomenon and also as represented both visually and conceptually. Mona's current exhibition program emphasizes the importance and vitality of historical works, showing their relevance to the contemporary world. The ZERO movement has long been of interest to Mona, and we are excited to bring these important artists to our Australian audience. And although the artists have dreamed of an exhibition on the moon, the other end of the world from their origin is still a journey.
