Perspective drawing for the Gelsenkirchen Opera Theater

In 1957, Yves Klein met the artists of the ZERO group and Norbert Kricke suggested that he apply for the decoration of an opera under construction.
Gelsenkirchen, an industrial city of the Ruhr, hard hit by the war, entrusted the design to the architect Werner Ruhnau.
In January 1958, the commission gives its approval and the artist starts on the spot the realization of his works at the end of the year.
