Yves Klein, "La vie, la vie elle-même qui est l'art absolu"

MAMAC - Musée d'Art Moderne et d'Art Contemporain de Nice, Nice, France

The exhibition Yves Klein, inaugurated on the anniversary of his birth, April 28, is the first retrospective dedicated in France to the artist from Nice since the great exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art-Center Georges Pompidou in 1983. The choice of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Nice has naturally imposed itself to celebrate the year 2000 by the presentation of an artist of an exceptional dimension, many of which are already part of the permanent collection of the museum of Nice . Approximately 250 works and documents are shown on 2000 m2 at MAMAC, before being presented at the Centro per Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci in Prato.
